Las Vegas Conference Photographers: HDAW at The Mirage

As Las Vegas Conference Photographers, we went to the Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week (HDAW). It took place at The Mirage on January 21st through the 25th. Over 2,000 people from six countries, and then Canada and the United States were there. There were suppliers, distributors, service providers, and industry media all converging on Las Vegas for the conference. The HDAW is largest independent heavy-duty aftermarket industry gathering in North America. This business-to-business conference has a joint committee of thirteen important industry associations. These include Overseas Automotive Council (OAC), Power Heavy Duty, and the Association of Diesel Specialists(ADS).

The Conference was held at The Mirage Hotel and Casino located at 3400 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89109. There was not only a large area for vendors to set up their booth and share their information but a large auditorium as well. This allowed attendees who wanted to listen to speakers to have a great view.

We watched others enjoy themselves and become engrossed as they spoke with vendors. As everyone looked at different products, you could practically see the information flowing into their brain. We absolutely loved watching the vendors share what they knew. You could see their passion and pride in their products. Vendors were there to share their unique product. Yet they seemed to enjoy connecting with those with a shared interest. That is what makes photographing conferences so fun and interesting. There are so many different types of people that attend from all over the country and sometimes the world.

Beauty in the Raw Moments

Taking photos the room with the speakers was extremely enjoyable. There is something about photographing someone when they are unaware that makes a photo great. It’s in those raw moments that great photos are captured. You can almost see them absorbing the information they are being given. I saw the information transfer from one to many. It was fascinating watching many people learn from the experience of others.

We were incredibly grateful for the chance to be Las Vegas conference photographers for Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week. It’s always an enjoyable experience when we are able to take part in a conference that is full of so many interesting and kind people. Everyone was quick to offer a smile or polite conversation.
